ARTS UNBOUND

She gets to do something she loves, and she’s proud of the artwork she creates. For the first time, we found a space where she could truly be herself.”

Arts Unbound is an inclusive creative arts program designed to break down barriers and make the arts accessible for people of all abilities. Through community-led workshops, one-on-one sessions, and inclusive events, we create safe and welcoming spaces where children, young people, and families can express themselves, build confidence, and connect through creativity.

For many families raising children with special or additional needs, finding genuinely inclusive activities can be difficult. Many programs are not equipped to support children with medical needs, sensory differences, or disabilities — leaving families feeling isolated or unable to participate fully.

Arts Unbound was created to change that.

Here, children are encouraged to be themselves without judgement. Whether painting, performing, creating, or trying something completely new, participants are supported to explore their creativity in ways that work for them. For many families, it becomes one of the few spaces where their child feels fully accepted, included, and proud of what they can achieve.

The program also creates opportunities for friendship, confidence-building, emotional wellbeing, and facilitated respite for parents and caregivers. While children participate in creative activities, parents can connect with others who understand the realities of raising children with additional needs - creating community, support, and moments of rest along the way.

Our sessions are facilitated by local artists and experienced facilitators with disability qualifications, lived experience, and a strong understanding of inclusive practice and community connection.
